Recent research published in the Planetary Science Journal reveals the moon has shrunk by over 150 feet in circumference due to core cooling over the past few hundred million years. Led by NASA, Smithsonian, Arizona State University, and The University of Maryland, the study highlights changes around the Lunar South Pole, posing concerns for NASA's Artemis III mission exploration areas.
